Just a little update on whats been happening...

Wall panels, made from 75 mm foam have now been fitted upstairs.  We used sisalation lining internally before fixing these panels.  The foam panels come with a thin render film on the external side.  We will render the walls to finish off.

Wool insulation batts and villaboard has also been installed on the balcony ceiling.

The internal courtyard to the ensuite bathroom has had timber beams installed with Laserlight clear sheeting.

The thatch roofing has also been started on the pavilions. Looks fantastic...and the temperature is noticeably cooler underneath.

  1. That was a great idea! For those who are looking for an alternative for shingles, you can go for thatch roofing. Thatch roofs are waterproof and visually appealing, a guaranteed eye-catcher!
